Credit card

Users supply their name, date of birth, postcode, PAN and CVV. A 30p payment hold is placed on the card temporarily. Once the check is complete, the hold is cancelled and no money leaves the user’s account. If the hold is confirmed and the card type is of credit, the age of the user is confirmed as being aged 18+.

This method proves your customer is in possession of a registered credit card, which in most countries, can only be issued to people old enough to sign a credit agreement.

The regulating body in the territory of the individual must accept ownership of a credit card as proof of age, and there must be robust identity checks and minimum age requirements to issue a credit card.
