Welcome to the developer documentation for integrating the Identity Verification (IDV) service.

This API contains multiple services that may be of interest to you.

Identity Verification (IDV)

This is an embedded Identity Check.

Yoti guides the user through the entire process with real-time feedback and a number of fast and automated / manual checks. These include document template detection, image quality assessment (e.g blur or glare) and screen replay detection. This ensures that image capture errors are addressed instantly and users can complete the process successfully.

Data is automatically extracted from the identity document as soon as it is submitted, giving instant feedback. e.g. ‘document image is too blurry’ or ‘image captured from a screen’ . This is dynamic feedback based on session configuration. This also speeds up the process as Yoti makes the extracted data instantly available to the client.

Users are allowed to retry multiple times (with a configurable limit) after each bit of feedback is displayed.

Yoti IDV SDKs are built to capture the best images possible to maximise success rates. We identify the best possible configuration for the camera provided by the underlying device and device/browser combination for mobile web.

All a user needs to do is take a photo of their ID. Our image capture technology captures multiple photos in fast sequence. The image capture and analysis that we perform is instant. This means if one photo is blurry or has too much glare, we still have others available to review and if those are successful we can proceed with our process.

Yoti offers multiple checks for this service:

Yoti provides a face comparison check that can be used to authenticate a user by using their selfie.

Yoti gives you the ability to use positive or negative lists to manage account authentication and fraud with Yoti Face Search.
