Welcome to the developer documentation for integrating the Digital ID app.
Our Digital ID can be integrated in the following ways:
This service gives your customers a convenient and privacy-friendly way to prove who they are to your organisation, both online and in-person. With the app, they only need to verify their identity details once to create a reusable digital ID they can use to instantly access your services.
The app provides many benefits:
- Convenience, as your ID is in your phone.
- Ease of use, you can onbaord with Yoti within 5 minutes
- Reusable. Once you have uploaded your ID document, you can reuse the app to share your attributes.
- Data privacy. Users can share only what they NEED to.
Here is the flow the user will go through to onboard with the app:
Users add a government-issued ID document and take a biometric selfie to create their reusable digital ID. Once verified, they simply scan a QR code or tap a button to share only the details your organisation needs.
You can also enhance this integration by using the services below:
Verifiable credentials
Issue, update, revoke and accept credentials, including staff ID cards, student ID cards, qualifications and medical records. Credentials can be verified in real time with the issuing body to ensure they are up to date and correct.
Self-asserted credentials
Users can add details they want to self-declare regularly, such as their tax number, address history, or blood type. Depending on the use case, these can also be graduated into pre-verified credentials. This saves your users time and improves input accuracy, reducing drop-off.
Digital ID Match
Digital ID Match is a service that allows your business to check whether one of its users (new or existing) has a Yoti account by sending the user’s email address or mobile number to our API.
